Units

I am very fortunate to be able to guide hunts in various units all over the state. However, I do have some units I prefer to hunt. I have listed them below in no particular order.

Some units I prefer for early season hunts and others for late season. The same can be said as far as rifle and archery hunts, along with mule deer and whitetail deer. I have had a lot of success hunting big bulls in the limited opportunity block units. The elk numbers are low in these units, but it does hold mature bulls. These may not be units I would suggest if you have max points, or if you are getting close to max points in units with higher elk densities. They should be considered all the same.

Antelope and elk applications typically need to be submitted by early February each year. Deer, sheep, bison, fall turkey and Javelina need to be submitted the end of May to the first week of June.

Favorite Elk units : 9, 10, the limited opportunity block units, 3A, 3C, 23

Favorite Deer Units : 13B ,12A, 12B, 10, 17A, 17B, 18B , 21, 23, 44, 20C

Favorite Antelope Units: 5A, 7, 9, 10, 7A, 18A
